Memorable Holiday Poetry Reads

Not much poetry in the Guardian Review’s article where “writers recall their most memorable summer reads”, which is kind of disappointing for “news that stays news”, if typical of these lists. However, I suppose it’s not bad to have two poets recommended — Housman and Homer — given that there was a single poet among said writers.

Anyway, on Facebook, I proposed a little blog feature where we poets and poetry lovers bite back politely with our most memorable holiday poetry reads. Stephen Nelson has got in first with this characteristically inventive post. I’ll be posting my own soon, and will post or link to others’ as they send or post them. If you take part, feel free to post a link to your piece in the comments section.
