A quick reminder that I’m reading tonight at 7:30pm at the CCA in Glasgow alongside Máire Wren, Colette Ní Ghallchoír and Aonghas MacNeacail as part of an Irish Pages event in association with Conradh na Gaeilge Glaschú. It’s also the Scottish launch of our current tenth-anniversary issue, “Self”, which will be on sale alongside another couple of issues of the magazine and all the writers’ books.
Why not bring your friends, family and literati along to celebrate the first decade of Ireland’s premier literary journal? Edited in Belfast, Irish Pages features outstanding prose and poetry from Ireland and overseas, and is widely compared with Granta in England and The Paris Review in the US. There will be traditional music and wine will be served.
Now, poetry, music and wine — whit mair cuid a body ask for on a Saiturday nicht? After all, you can catch up with The Voice on the iplayer, but you cannae get an event like this on demand.
