Talking, Talking, Talking

I seem to be getting a good bit of practice at interviews, though not of the job kind. Yesterday, I welcomed Jules Lacave-Fontourcy and Mitchell Morton to my house to interview me and record a couple of poems as part of their work on a documentary about Camp Trans Scotland 2024. It was definitely happy talk, recalling the particular joys of the community at camp and celebrating the friendships and community that have grown through that experience. Camp was a profoundly significant moment for all of us, I think. For myself, I don’t think I had a clue how transformative it would be to experience an entirely trans and non-binary community, even briefly. Nor did I anticipate how much it would it extend beyond the confines of the weekend. I’m excited to see what other interviewees have to say about it when the documentary is ready.

By the way, there are only seven days left to listen online to my interview on “Sunday Morning with Tony Kearney“, which I blogged more about here. Get your skates on if you haven’t listened to it already and want to hear what I had to say.
