Salting the Prizes

The Corner of Arundel Lane and Charles StreetCongratulations are in order for another Salt poet and friend, Tony Williams, whose book The Corner of Arundel Lane and Charles Street has been shortlisted for this year’s Aldeburgh prize! I wish Tony all the best for it. The MissingThe Corner … is an absolutely cracking collection and would be a deserving winner. (The full shortlist is at the Aldeburgh link above.)

Huge congratulations too to Sian Hughes on winning the Seamus Heaney Centre Prize for Poetry! Let the Salt books storm the prize barricades (even if we still need a better system of rewarding literary merit)!
