I’ve been trying for ages to write something that uses various Scots words and phrases for, or connected with, rain. It only occurred to me recently that vispo/concrete poetry might be a productive approach for this project, which I’m calling “In Wir Element”. This is the first of what I hope will be several pieces in this sequence, but we’ll see! I’ve categorised it as Greenbelt vispo because it’s part of a fun, slightly tongue-in-cheeky, oblique consideration of the idea of home.

Enjoyed this Andrew; both the Scottishness of the wording and the reverse of the word doun – presumably stoatin back up fae the groond.

Thanks very much, Gordon. Glad you enjoyed it. Stoatin back up is the idea.
